The ALU foil electric aluminum underfloor heating is designed for floating, laminate, wood and parquet floors. For carpet or PVC, you should use the Heatpak duo. The ALU foil system is fully grounded, so it can also be used in wet rooms. The underfloor heating has an aluminum top and bottom that contains the heating cable. As a result, this system ensures excellent heat transfer across the entire surface.

Installation

The ALU foil cannot be installed directly on your concrete or cement subfloor. First, you must use insulation underneath the system. For this, you can use our ISO-84 or ISO-74. The ALU foil can be easily laid over it. If necessary, you can cut the foil in the aluminum section, but obviously not in the ultra-thin heating element. Once the underfloor heating is installed, the laminate, wood or parquet can be placed directly on the system. The ALU foil is equipped with a power cable. This power cable must be connected to the supplied thermostat control. The power cable can be inserted into the flexible tube along with the floor sensor. Always place the thermostat control at a height of 1.5 meters.

Tips;

1. Measure the total surface area of the room to be heated - subtract 20 cm from the side and do not place it under toilets, fixed floor furniture or under shower trays. For a surface area to be heated of, for example, 3.8m2, choose an ALU foil set of 3.5m2.
   
   
2. With a heating cable underfloor heating system, you can choose to place the cable in a QH Grid or spacer strip system.
   
   
3. If your floor finish is PVC, vinyl carpet or linoleum, you will need to install Heatpeak over the underfloor heating. With laminate wood or parquet, you can place the floor finish directly on the ALU foil.
   
   
4. Place the floor sensor in a separate tube. The sensor must extend below the underfloor heating for the measurement to be correct.
